An internet connection is no longer required to enjoy your favorite shows or movies on Netflix.

The streaming video service has announced a new feature allowing users to download movies and shows for offline viewing.  A similar option has been offered by Netflix competitor Amazon for the past year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To enable the feature, Netflix users should download the latest version of the Netflix app on either Apple or Android devices. Be warned though, not all shows and movies are available to be downloaded for offline viewing. The streaming service hasn’t released a full list of compatible shows, but it appears viewers of its most popular titles will be able to utilize the offline viewing feature. The announcement from Netflix indicates “many more” titles will be available for download in the future.
